PARCC & Other Standardized Tests
PARCC Testing:
During the 2018-2019 school year, students in grades 6 through 11 will participate in an online assessment called PARCC. The Partnership for Assessment for Readiness of College and Careers (PARCC) is aligned with the Common Core State Standards and is designed to determine a student’s readiness for college and career. It will help parents and teachers to determine whether or not students have achieved grade level standards.
The PARCC assessments for grades 6 through 8 will be delivered at each grade level and will be based directly on the Common Core State Standards. The distributed PARCC design includes four components – two required summative and two optional non-summative – to provide educators with timely feedback to inform instruction and provide multiple measures of student achievement across the school year. PARCC states have endorsed a grade-based design in English language arts/literacy (ELA/literacy) and both a course-based and integrated design in mathematics.
Down below please review and explore the most current information about PARCC testing that will occur during the Spring of 2019, in April and May.
